A Veriditas-trained labyrinth facilitator, I began my journey in labyrinth building in 2024, integrating them into my work as a grief educator and peer support facilitator. I have designed labyrinths around themes such as grounding, rest, resilience, cultural bereavement, grief, memory, creative renewal, gratitude, and joy, creating spaces for people to reflect and transform.

I have collaborated with a variety of organizations to create full scale and tabletop labyrinths on-site, including The Ruby in San Francisco, Western Hills Garden in Occidental, CA, and Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. My work has extended to events like the Together Conference at Fort Mason in San Francisco, the Endwell Conference at the Skirball Center and the PAUSE BiPOC grief conference at Our House, both in Los Angeles. I also create ‘pop-up’ labyrinths, including one installed at the Oakland Arena parking lot and various beaches around the world.

My path into grief education began in 2020, following the sudden loss of both of my parents just weeks apart. Struggling to find spaces that supported my grieving process, especially as a daughter of immigrants during the isolation of COVID-19, I set out to create what I had been missing. My exploration of supportive practices led me to labyrinths, where the physical, sensory nature of the labyrinth provided a tangible framework to process the abstract emotions of loss. These spaces, created with intention and care, are collaborative in nature, drawing on the energy of all those who interact with them.

My past professional arc includes co-founding MESO which raised awareness about grief and cultural bereavement; labors of love and purpose in hospitality management for chefs Gabriela Camara, Nancy Oakes, and Cat Cora; and starting my career as a financial analyst for Accenture and oddly, the mafia. I earned my MBA in international finance through Thunderbird and my BA in international relations through Johns Hopkins. I love food, cooking, farmers’ markets, BTS, contemporary art, my awesome kids, and most of the time, my Bernedoodle.

I hope to share the transformative power of labyrinths, offer opportunities to teach others how to create and experience them, and build community around deeper exploration! Reach out to join me in the creation of meaning, purpose, and the extraordinary!
